The function of PPA processing masterbatch is multifaceted and comprehensive, which can significantly improve the processing performance of resin, product quality, energy consumption, production efficiency, equipment and mechanical wear.

1. Improve the extrusion processing performance of resin raw materials

• Reduce/eliminate the material accumulation at the die mouth, reduce the times of shutdown and cleaning, and extend the service life of the equipment
• It can effectively reduce startup loss rate, extrusion pressure, extrusion temperature and energy consumption
• It can clean the extrusion system and significantly shorten the switching time of producing products with different colors

2. Improve the quality and performance of extruded products

• It can effectively eliminate melt fracture, eliminate shark-skin effect and crystal points on the surface, and improve the surface luster and brightness of products
• It can reduce the formation of gel and improve the surface quality of products; Improve the uniformity of product thickness

3. It can improve extrusion speed and production efficiency

• If the actual extrusion speed is significantly different from the designed extrusion speed of the equipment, it can effectively improve the extrusion speed
• It can effectively ensure continuous and stable production status and improve production efficiency

4. It can broaden the selection range of raw materials

• It can make the resin with lower melt index (such as MI ≤ 1) easy to process, and the film or sheet can be thinner and have the same strength. It can reduce the material consumption; lower production cost
• When processing the film, the proportion of LLDPE in the mixture can be increased (even all LLDPE is used), thus improving the mechanical properties of the film
•  The product can be processed with a narrower die, which can also ensure a higher quality and performance

Production Instructions

• The use of masterbatch is extremely simple, you don’t need to adjust any production process
• If you has never been used PPA masterbatch, at the beginning of production, we suggest you to produc for about 1 hour with the addition of 3% masterbatch. The purpose is to make the PPA additive in the masterbatch form a lubricating coating in the shortest time and play its role
• After the melt fracture and “shark-skin effect” on the product are eliminated, the surface quality is qualified and the production is stable, the master batch can be continuously produced according to the normal addition rate of about 0.5~1%. The specific addition amount shall be determined according to the equipment condition and production requirements
• If PPA masterbatch has been used before, it shall be added for production according to the normal ratio of 0.5~1%, and the specific amount shall be determined according to the equipment status and production requirements
